About Lost Wax Casting
Lost-wax casting is one of the oldest metalworking techniques, dating back over 5,000 years. This hand carving technique using nothing but wax, a spirit lamp and carving tools allows for amazing and complex detail in the carved design and an intimacy between the artist’s hand and the final metal object.
